Games that make you think

These are the games where the right move isn’t the obvious one. Some are pure logic, some are about planning a few moves ahead, and some hide a trick you have to spot.

For lateral thinking, Kepo's Tricky Day turns everyday problems into comic panels with a trick, and Nope Tower is a platformer where every level lies to you once. For logic, Mine Hunt is minesweeper with no lucky guesses, Stretchy Kepo has you slide Kepo to fill every tile, and Squeeze Out asks you to untangle jelly strands in the right order.

If you like planning, Kepo FreeCell Solitaire deals every card face up so every deal can be won, Sort It Out has you sort colors into tubes, and Bolt Buddies is a screw puzzle where the order you unscrew in matters. 2048 Party and Blocktopia are calmer: slide and merge tiles, or fit blocks to clear the lines.
