About Kepo Checkers

Kepo Checkers is checkers, also called draughts, on a classic 8x8 board. Play Kepo on easy, medium or hard, or play a friend on the same device. Move your pieces diagonally, jump over Kepo's pieces to capture them, and reach the far row to crown a king. Captures are compulsory, and a jump keeps going while another capture is possible. You win when your opponent has no pieces or no moves left.

You can play with classic rules, the American game where pieces move and capture forward and kings move one square, or with flying kings, the way checkers is played in Brazil and much of Latin America: kings slide any distance along a diagonal, pieces capture backward too, and you must take the most pieces you can. The pieces that must capture glow, dots show where a piece can go, and Undo takes back your last move. Your wins and best win streak are kept for each level.

Tips

Keep your back row filled as long as you can: it stops Kepo from crowning a king.
Trade pieces when you are ahead; with fewer pieces on the board, an extra one counts for more.
Look before you move: a piece that steps next to an enemy can often be jumped right away.
With flying kings, a king on a long open diagonal controls the whole board, so crown one early.
